My very cool web designer, Michelle Vandepas, tells me to blog, blog, blog….a way to direct traffic to my site. I was never one to be very drawn to writing, so this has been an opportunity for me to stretch myself.
But oftentimes I’m clueless as to what to write about. (Suggestions welcomed, by the way.) I get all goofy and listen to my internal dialogue tell me what I shouldn’t do, which keeps me from doing anything! My mind/ego loves to keep me in my familiar story of stuck-ness. (Is that a word?)
What I do know, however, is that when I’m “riding that hamster wheel” in my head, it’s time to “go inside” to my heart space. Ahhhhh! It feels so good! Did you know that our hearts have 60+ times more electromagnetic energy that our brains???? (Ok, here’s where I need you because I haven’t a clue where my source comes from on that, so if you want to google it and let me know, I’d appreciate it. Besides, what a great way to get someone to comment on my blog!)
So if that’s the case regarding our hearts, imagine how much more wisdom is available to us via our hearts versus our heads! We spend way too much time in our heads, which limits us to no limit! That’s why I get stuck! I heard the judgments, “shoulds,” and self sabotaging garbage that prevents me from speaking from my heart; from speaking what is true for me and sharing my authentic self.
That’s why I/we don’t know what to say sometimes? We’re too afraid to tap into our heart spaces because we might be judged or get some kind of negative reaction. But what if we don’t???? And even if we are judged, (because we will be), wouldn’t it feel good to just say what’s on your HEART and be fully expressed regardless?
Give it a try and let me know what happens!
Enjoy your heart space! Know that the world needs you to express it!

This is a great idea! Every single one of us, at some point in time each day, needs to speak out, needs to say something, needs a hug (even if only verbal). I won’t take up a lot of the space here on your page, will let others say what they need to . . .please just know . . . . that there is one person . . . .right here . . . that is always there . . . . for hugs, talking to, anything . . . . anyone needs. Each and every person . . . who comes here and reads this . . . should know that they have one friend . . . and always will . . .besides themself. . .and that one is me!
Alan, You are a gem! Thanks for sharing that! And I want to invite you to go ahead and take up as much space as you want here because we need to hear what you have to say! No more minimizing yourself!
Hugs,
Deb

What a great idea. I never thought of this and it seems so simple. It’s been a hard week. I’m still working on making this my best year ever. Another great idea of yours. This one definitely beats the last 14.
It is simple, Ruth! And life can be simple if you allow it. You say it’s been a hard week, huh? What can you do to make this coming week a week of ease? Only you can create it so let us know!

Deb,
I was wondering if you could speak more on this. The reason being – I have the opposite problem. We were given both heart and brain for a reason. My heart has led me into trouble too many times to count. I now counter and question everything my heart has to say – temper if you will with the brain God gave me. It seems to be working far better and I’m making better decisions utilizing my power of discernment and free will. It seems to me that the heart “wants what it wants” but often what it wants is desire driven, thus ego driven. Can you help me understand better where you are coming from with this concept.
Hi Janet! You are right that we are given a heart and brain for a reason, and I didn’t mean to imply that we should not use our brain. It’s about the brain and heart collaborating versus only acting from the brain. The heart feels, the brain interprets; so it’s about interpreting what our hearts are feeling in a way that will serve us. Make sense? What we must be mindful of is when our minds want to interpret our feelings in ways that may create suffering for ourselves or even another. We can over analyze and we can “over feel.” We must create a balance between both and it makes it much easier when you have support.
Does that help?
